april & aaron's engagements in Forsyth Park

This morning I met up with this super sweet (AND FUNNY) couple at Forsyth Park. April was here for the weekend visiting Aaron in Savannah, and I am thrilled they asked me to shoot their engagements. They are to be married next May in Texas. Both April and Aaron bravely serve our country and met while stationed in Alabama. I know they are looking forward the day when they will be together! It was so great meeting you both and sharing, even if briefly, in your love story!




























Aaron is such a silly guy and April just eats it up. I LOVE it!

Happy Birthday Christy!

Today would be my sister, Christy's, 37th birthday. She died when I was 16 and when she did a very big part of me died. I've never known someone who laughed so much and I can hear her laughing now. I miss you. I love you. I am also thinking of my sister, Bridget, today. Today, more than anything, I am a sister, and I am missing mine!

emma's school binder

While school shopping the other night, we needed to find Emma a 1 1/2" binder and she was looking at the cheesy puppy dogs and kitty cat ones. Don't get me wrong they are cute as can be, but just of course chee-sy! Toby saved the day when he realized they were 1" binders and not 1 1/2". OH WELL I said!!! Off to the simple and completely customizable white ones! No worries though, I designed Emma her very own cover and I think it's completely cheese-free. Well to me it is!



I have had falling-down-drunk grooomsmen that were easier to photograph than this eskie! He is apparently DEATHLY afraid of the camera, because as soon as I got it out, he, um, well, tee-teed EVERYWHERE. It was worth it though. No fuzzy no-name puppy dogs staring at Emma all day now!

Today it's scruffy's turn, he'll go on the back of the binder, {but don't tell him that}!

I also designed this homework sheet for Emma to keep her in binder. She swears this IS the year for super organization!!

Happy Anniversary Tara & Nathan!

Today Tara and Nathan are celebrating their 2nd anniversary. My how time does fly! Tara and Nathan are one of those couples that I just adore and love keeping up with!! (it helps that they are HUGE BAMA FANS!)

So I just wanted to take a second to congratulate them and to share tara's baby with you. {Not that kind} (YET!) Tara has recently launched Posh Petals and Pearls a wedding and event Planning business in Savannah! Having seen her wedding details first hand I know the girls got skills!

Real Savannah Wedding: Lauren & Ian

The New Savannah Weddings Magazine is out, and I am so excited that Lauren and Ian's November 2008 wedding is featured. You'll remember this was a bit of a last minute switcharoo with venues, but Tricia Huddas & Co. stepped in and truly saved the day! This couldn't have happened to a sweeter bride, but Laura handled it all in stride with amazing grace! Looking at these images makes me miss this sweet couple. Glad I have them on facebook! ;)

Summer Beach Portraits

While we were at the Beach I FORCED the kids to do portraits with Grammy. It actually went really well and they had fun, which was bizarre! I think it's because they love their grammy so darn much! ;) Here are just a few. Happy Birthday again Grammy, you are smoking hot for 82!!!

Just a note to let you know I am away and will return to the studio and blogging as usual on August 23rd. The kids and I are visiting friends and family in Alabama and then off to LA (lower Alabama, that never gets old) to see mom and spend a week on the gulf coast working on my freckle count. I promise to try and sneak in a vaca post or two in the mean time! Be home soon!

Yesterday the kids and I loaded up the trusty old pool bag and headed over to Carries to swim! Sorry there aren't more pics of little man J and the kids, but they were in the water and the water was COLD, and you've seen my kids.... But get a load of Henry. My how he's grown!

Jamie & Chip's Savannah, Ga Wedding

On Saturday while I was laughing at Janel and Gabe's groomsmen, Hunter was across town photographing beautiful Jamie and her handsome groom Chip! I met Jamie for the first time Friday night, and I knew right away that Hunter would have a fun time with this laid back bride!
