Janel and Gabe's Savannah, Ga wedding

Ok, so I actually lost sleep over this blog post! I did! I found myself waking up throughout the night last trying to figure out HOW on earth I could describe to you the kind of love that Gabe and Janel share. They aren't overly affectionate or all goo goo ga ga ((That can be a bit disgusting, can't it?)) But earlier while I was sorting through the images and reliving the night, it hit me. I don't have to tell you because they aren't the kind of people who need to validate their love to others with words or PDA's or showiness. They just plain 'ol love each other and want to be together. Being around them and sharing in their day gave me a glimpse into a kind a love I have rarely seen in my years as a wedding photographer (and man have I witnessed some love stories!). Theirs is a raw kind of love, the kind that almost made me want to look away while they were sharing their first (and last dance), like I was imposing, like they were the only two people in the world. The funny thing is, just before the ceremony I gave Janel my usual pre-ceremony advice.... When you get to the alter, just look at Gabe, enjoy that moment, don't worry about anything else, don't let anything distract you, and you'll remember that forever. HA! Janel could write a book on how to block out everything but Gabe.

So there you have it. I have written this post and still don't feel I have described their love, but again it's not really mine to describe, is it? It's theirs. Forever and ever. I am just so thankful they allowed me to have a peek.

So much for the weather forecast of 0% chance of rain!!

Janel chose the most delicate blooms for her bouquet.

This wedding party proves that wedding photos can be quick and FUN even in Savannah in AUGUST!

I almost fell over laughing at this set-up. It only took moments and every knew their part and went with it! Especially these two! Watch out in October (see Frank and Mandy below)

sigh....

This is Frank and Mandy! They are getting married October 24th and I have the great pleasure of shooting their wedding too! Frank is a handful, so be prepared for some more crazy pics!!

This familiar pair is Cate and Toby. Cate is Natalie's (taller) sister! Toby is Gabe's cousin. Small world. Small town! ;)

Now, I know you recognize these two blog stars from a couple of weeks ago! ;) Christopher and Jennifer, it was so great seeing you two again!

  3. I am really in love with the Janel and Gabe's wedding day photos. These are just so outstanding photos and are inspiring me a lot for adding some of these inspirations in my own wedding party that would be hosted by the end of this year at one of the prettiest event venues in NYC.
