If you follow me on twitter you may have noticed I updated... oh, about 1000 times on Sunday. I was on my way to Skidaway Island to meet up with Faith and her bridesmaids, but was stopped in traffic at the Skidaway island bridge. Seems the bridge was STUCK! I've dealt with traffic before and other mishaps that kept me (temporarily) from my brides, but this was very different. This was a STUCK draw bridge, and this was Teresa panicking a bit. The police were telling everyone it would be several hours before the bridge would be fixed, and while many just turned back towards Savannah, I stayed, and I PRAYED! Just over an hour into my wait I decided I would head back to Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda and wait on Faith (YES that's her name!! ;)) with Shaun who also arrived at the chapel. All the prayers worked because they fixed that bridge, and Faith and her family and guests that were also on the island were able to arrive only about 45 minutes past the ceremony start time, instead of 4 hours! Can you imagine everyone's relief? You know I was SOOOOOO happy to still have plenty of daylight too! ;)
The ceremony was so beautiful and this sweet couple (who had to change from their original November date because Shaun is being deployed next month), both teared up. I am so thankful I was there to share in there wedding. I was so worried that darn bridge wouldn't budge, but everything worked out just fine!
Carrie made the cakes!!! I love that girl AND her cakes!
